Your gift transforms lives

Private donations empower us. In our first year as an organization, we got right to business and un-chained more than 75 dogs—many living in isolated, desperate condition. Within two years, we had unchained nearly 200 dogs. Already entering our third year, we have now freed 235 dogs as we continue to build 7-8 fences every month.
Your gift, regardless of amount, means everything to a chained dog. You are their hope, and the wind at our backs.

Fences For Fido’s (FFF) main financial goal is to operate efficiently and effectively to minimize administrative costs and maximize our impact. We are an all-volunteer organization. We apply every dollar possible toward:
- Essential supplies to support our functional goal of un-chaining as many dogs as possible and providing comfort and shelter
- Veterinary care where sometimes treatment is critical and urgent
During our first year of operation (June 2009 through May 2010), we allocated more than 86% percent of our expenditures directly towards fence building materials , doghouse supplies, and veterinary care. Maintaining this standard is essential to our effectiveness.
We also have a continual need for the following materials to help the dogs we build fences for:
- 4x4 8' pressure-treated posts
- 8' x 2-3/8" metal posts
- Metal T-posts in 6' and 7' lengths
- Lengths of 5' or 6' fencing, either welded wire or chain link, new or good condition used
- Chain link gates 5' or 6' high, and associated hardware
- Chain link fence hardware
- Plywood, 2x4’s, siding, tar paper, and composite shingles (even partial packages) for construction of dog houses
- Heavy duty anchoring stakes
- Materials for dog bedding (burlap sacks and cedar shavings)
If you are able to donate any of the above listed materials, please contact us at info@fencesforfido.org, we really appreciate any materials donations!
