Waiting Dogs
Hey, who wants to go to the beach!! (And free 4 super sweet dogs!!) Mom and Dad are Crabber and Daisy, 5 and 2 year old pitties, and their two babies are Runty and Sayde, 7 months old. Crabber and Daisy are chained to trees and the kids are in a kennel. They all get along great so the release will be a blast. Their person is trying her best with them, when I showed up she was trying to install some fencing and had blisters on her hands from digging. It's gonna take a FFF fence to keep this pittie family contained though, for sure!! We will be setting posts with quick dry concrete at 10 a.m., then going to lunch while the posts set, then coming back to build the fence. It's a long drive and a long day, but you can get a baby sitter for your pups at home for 1 day to come help these 4, right?! Let me know if you can make it at 10 or would rather just come for the fence build. Thank you!!
Misty was spotted tied to a zip line by one of our dedicated volunteers. Her family was very grateful to be contacted by Fences For Fido to offer her a fence. This spunky young pup has a huge grassy yard but the property runs along a busy highway so, unfortunately, she spends most of her time tethered to the zip line. Soon she'll have a large secure area where she can romp around to her heart's content! Please join us for the 10:00 AM build!
Lola is a fun loving playful pit mix. She barked and barked to be set free which has the neighbors complaining to animal control.
These two bundles of energy are Gotti and Jackie. They have mastered the art of escaping their unsecured yard and have been found many times wondering the busy streets of their neighborhood, causing their family much worry. They can't wait until fence day when the family can put them in them out in the yard and know they will still be there when they come home!
Ginger and Baxter are two escape artists. They are young fun loving pups who continually jump a four foot fence. This means that they have to be chained at 4:00 AM when their owner leaves for work until late in the day. Two more feet of fence means they will be able to play freely in this wonderful yard.
Lui is a Bassett hound/ pit bull mix who lives his life on the end of a four foot chain behind a trailer. He has five children who live with him and love playing with him but you can't play too hard with only four feet of range. His family is anxious for him to have a space to play and a new house to keep him dry.
Dawn is a beautiful rottie who has spent her life as a chained guard dog which has understandably made her quite grumpy. Dawn's family loves her and has always wanted to build a fence for her, but as we know, fences can be quite expensive. When we approached Dawn's family about a fence for Dawn, they were so very happy and immediately accepted our offer! Please come out and help us set the posts for Dawn's fence so she can live the rest of her life chain free! Dawn and her family will be sooooooo very grateful.
