Magic happens when our volunteer & professional worlds collide!

Without sounding trite, all of our volunteers are special. Once strangers—now friends—connected because of a single mission: unchaining dogs. However, somewhere along the way our friendships have developed into something much richer and deeper, extending well beyond the three hours we spend together each and every Saturday morning.

In fact, sometimes our volunteer lives even spill over into our professional lives and our two worlds collide!

A perfect example of that is highlighted in the most recent NW Natural publication, “In the Community” featuring Rob Rupp, one of our most endearing, talented volunteers who serves as a beloved crew site leader.

If you ask the Fences For Fido founders most of us would agree that Rob and his son Derek—a powerhouse team that ooze talent and positive energy—would easily be voted most valuable players on any given Saturday!

As you know, it is no secret that all of our lives have been touched by what we witness each and every Saturday morning. However, what may be the best kept secret (until now) is that Rob and Derek Rupp may well be two of the greatest gifts to our all-volunteer organization committed to changing lives … one fence, one dog and one family at a time.

Hello, Mike here, co-crew lead in Salem. Can anyone tell me if Rob is the guy that makes those chains you all use up there on the gate latches?
