Cheto is a 12.5-year-old pitbull who lives outdoors 24Cheto Collage/7. Cheto used to live inside until grandchildren came along and the family thought he was becoming unpredictably grumpy. The family did their best to provide a comfortable outside space for him by building a nice run with a 5-foot fence and providing a tarp in one section to provide shelter from the rain. However, Cheto began to dig large holes and would get out, so the family has chained him inside the run, but unfortunately and not surprisingly when on a chain he has been known to be very aggressive. Still, this boy has a big heart and loves his people and really just wants lots of love and a safe, consistent place to run so that he avoids getting himself into any real trouble. Currently, Cheto has an airline crate for a dog house which will be replaced with an insulated dog house before build day. Although his family declined our offer for free dog food, they are a hard-working, humble, family, and the only reason they declined our offer was because they are so grateful and full of humility for the gift of a free fence they hesitated to take any more from us, especially if someone else might be more in need. This truly is a family that loves Cheto, and because of a visit from the Oregon Humane Society they realized that there were resources out there, like FFF, that will help ensure their family stays together.
