Our Fidos Love These Special Handmade Toys

Super volunteers Vicki and Jeff have figured out an amazingly swell and safe toy that all our Fidos just love as several dogs display their delight in the videos below.  A local tennis club donates barrels and barrels of used tennis balls, Jeff drills holes in them, and Vicki scours thrift stores and other low-cost sources for soft blankets and material that she can cut into strips, braid them, and then thread the braids through the tennis balls.

Many of our Fidos have no toys when we find them so they openly show their appreciation and glee at having a toy of their own, but they especially seem to love these great toys designed and handmade by Jeff and Vicki who continually make them to ensure each new dog can have one or even two!  Fences For Fido has the most wonderful volunteers who change dogs' lives week after week, but we are especially appreciative of extra loving touches such as these toys that make our Fidos' lives even better.  The simple gift of a toy means so much to a dog who has had so little.

We all know that our Fidos dream of safe fenced yards to play in and fun toys to play with, thankfully every week our donors, supporters and volunteers make these dreams come true for so many dogs, and Jeff & Vicki’s fabulous toys are the sweet touch that help make every dog we unchain feel even more special.  We all love to see how a simple gift of a toy brings extra light to their lives.  We thank you Vicki and Jeff for all the love that goes into every handmade toy and for sharing your passion to help dogs with Fences For Fido!  You help to make a lot of dogs very happy.

And of course these toys contribute so much to the moments our Fidos' lives are changed forever when their chains come off for good.  We know everyone will love to watch these heartwarming videos of unchained dogs having fun with their new toys on fence building day:
