Apollo & Ghost in Chiloquin!
| ||||
It took a village to reach Apollo and Ghost’s family, who had continued to receive visits from animal services because of the ongoing tethering of their dogs. From Portland to Chiloquin (Klamath County), 270 miles from Portland, we heard of this family’s situation and their neighbor's and community’s worries. So we sent a lifeline, a message to them. Within an hour, they reached out with emotion, embarrassment, and … gratitude. There is a story and struggles behind this photo – and there is love, deep love. But there is also a crushing reality of lack of resources in their rural community. We are just so grateful that we get to meet and help Apollo and Ghost live within a safe, secure fence, with warm dog houses & updated rabies vaccines required by law. If you’d like to join us for an overnight trip to Chiloquin on March 29th, we would love it, where we will be partnering with our new friends at Klamath Relief Angels, an organization that truly embodies their name: Relief Angels.
