Saturday, August 24, 2013, 01:00pm - 04:00pm

The Olate Dogs, 2012 winners of America's Got Talent, will be at the Oregon State Fair, along with dock-diving demonstrations, several local rescue groups, and one of our most beloved veterinary partners, the Willamette Valley Animal Hospital. Staff from WVAH will teach canine CPR, and they're providing space for local rescue groups to do some important community outreach.

So you get the picture, right? This is a doggy day at the fair, and WVAH has generously provided us a space to spread our message and represent Fences for Fido at the Oregon State Fair.

Parking is free, as is your admission to the fair. Please don't bring dogs to this event. You'll probably want sunscreen and your FFF logo t-shirt.

This is an all-day event and we've divided it into three shifts.

Location: Salem, OR

For post settings and fence builds, you will receive your "Thanks for Volunteering" email after you click to attend. This will have the email address for the coordinator for this event.

SPECIAL COVID-19 GUIDELINES

Starting March 11, for all Fences For Fido fence builds, masks will be optional in compliance with easing of restrictions of the mask mandate throughout Oregon and Washington.

Continued Safety Guidelines

  • If you have been in contact with any known COVID-19 patients, we ask that you complete the 14 day quarantine before joining a build.
  • If you feel sick or have any symptoms of the virus, we ask that you not attend a build. Please take your temperature before coming to a build to check for fever.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has background information about the virus, steps to prevent illness, and what to do when sick.
