Olaf

If you've ever helped us set up a dog house for one of our fidos, you know that we insulate the floor with burlap bag cedar beds. Where do we get those beds? Our volunteers make them--and coming up on Saturday, March 10th, we're going to have a dog-bed-making bash at our storage unit in NW Portland!

The "party" starts at 10am, and we'll be filling bags and sewing them up for about 3 hours. And did we mention that we'll have doughnuts, fruit, granola bars, coffee and juice?

A few notes:

  • There are NO BATHROOMS on site - the closest one is at a McDonald's about a mile away. We anticipate having the doors open during this project, so dress warmly if the weather is cold.

  • You don't have to stay the entire time, but we do ask for a commitment of at least 2 hours as we anticipate an assembly line process

.

  • Please no dogs or kids under 18 - our storage unit is full of tools and materials that might hurt paws and little ones.
