Luna, chained 24 hours a day in Washougal. Her life will change on Mother’s Day thanks to a volunteer who nominated Luna for her free fence. These are the moments where compassion from Fences For Fido volunteers and humility from a family that creates a foundation of trust built on a leap of faith. That’s what happened this weekend when Luna’s family graciously accepted our offer of a free fence when we spontaneously visited them on Sunday.

We’re building Luna’s fence on Mother’s Day. A sweet celebration to a family who loves Luna. But most special is that Luna is mama, protector, and companion for the resident goat. So Mother’s Day is for Luna too. The fence will be large enough for Luna's goat friend to sleep inside (the enclosure) at night, with her very own shelter structure.
