And, then, sometimes there is a photo that captures the tender spirit of a very special someone more than any words. This is Lilly. She is loved. But, she is also someone who spends more time than she should on a chain. That's why Lilly's hard-working single mom (of 4) is so concerned. Her neighbors are also concerned. MCAS is also now involved. Making things more urgent, the beautiful free range peacocks roaming the neighborhood love to torment Lilly by strutting by her house, again and again.

Every family has an important story. Many include heartbreak. Lilly’s family is no exception. Yet, Lilly’s mom is effusive in her love for Lilly: calling Lilly “my angel.” So please join us on August 28th as we shower Lilly and her family with all the love our warm hearts and helping hands can muster!

SPECIAL COVID-19 GUIDELINES

We so appreciate your dedication and commitment to Fences For Fido. You are the very heart of our organization, therefore, our primary concern is your safety and wellbeing. For that reason, Fences For Fido will only build panel fences during this time and for the foreseeable future. Panel fences allow for 6 feet of distance between volunteers and the number of volunteers can also be significantly reduced. Further, it reduces the number of time volunteers will be gathered together on site.

We are also changing the way in which we operate on fence build day. Please read the following so that you are fully aware of expectations and requirements prior to and on fence build day.

On Site Safety Guidelines:

  • Bring with you and wear a face mask and gloves as you will be required to wear both for the duration you’re on site. (Eye protection is recommended)
  • Maintain 6' social distance at all times.
  • We will have on site: disinfectant wipes, hand soap and sanitizer, and paper towels

Prior to Your Arrival:

  • If you have been in contact with any known COVID-19 patients, we ask that you complete the 14 day quarantine before joining a build.
  • If you feel sick or have any symptoms of the virus, we ask that you not attend a build. Please take your temperature before coming to a build to check for fever.
  • If you have an elevated temperature, please stay home.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has background information about the virus, steps to prevent illness, and what to do when sick.
