| Unchain Brownie in beautiful Goldendale, Wa | ||||
| ||||
Fences for Fido is heading to Goldendale, Washington, just 2 hours west of Portland through the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, and we’re looking for volunteers to help us build a life-changing fence for a sweet Border Collie named Brownie. Brownie lives with a loving family, who moved specifically so their dog could have a better life. Unfortunately, the cost of fencing was far more than they expected, and right now Brownie is only able to go outside on a leash or tether. A secure fence would not only allow Brownie to finally run and play freely, but also keep her safe from other dogs in the neighborhood. The family has shared that they’ve even had heartbreaking conversations about rehoming Brownie — not because they don’t love her, but because they feel it’s unfair that she can’t run and enjoy life the way a Border Collie should. Their hope is that this fence will allow Brownie to stay where she belongs: with the family who loves her. We’ll be building a secure fence at no cost to the family, and we need volunteers to help make it happen. What to expect:
If you’re able to volunteer or would like more information, please sign up through the website or reach out via email. Thank you for supporting our mission to keep dogs safely at home and off chains. Brownie’s future depends on it. | ||||
