This is Buddy,  a sweet golden retriever chained 24/7 in an effort to keep him safe living on the Burns Paiute Reservation. Unfortunately, his neighbor has shot and killed other dogs who have come onto his property, and so the family felt (before hearing about FFF) that this was their only option. Like so many incredibly kind-hearted and proud people living on Oregon reservations, life hasn’t been kind to them. They live in conditions every single day of their lives that none of us could ever imagine. And yet still, not surprisingly, their hearts are miles wide for the pets that share their lives. While it may look different on the outside, their love for their pets is every bit as real and true as ours.  We honor that bond. That’s why we will be building a fence and dog house for Buddy on Tuesday, July 20. Quite frankly, that date cannot come soon enough because currently there is very little shelter for Buddy from the intense heat and scorching sun.

If there is any way you can join us on July 20th, we’re confident you’ll receive the most meaningful THANK YOU ever! Oodles of cuddles and wiggles and zoomies! ALSO pictured is Buddy's friend Chloe. We are working on helping the family rehome her. Please let us know if you know anyone!

Meet us in Burns, please!
